Anti-US and anti-Israel protests in Yemen
Sana’a, March 15 (Hibya) - Thousands of people held demonstrations in Yemen’s capital Sana’a and in areas controlled by the Houthis to support Palestine and protest the US and Israel’s attacks on Iran.
According to CCTV, mass demonstrations were held in several Houthi-controlled areas, particularly in Al-Sabeen Square in Yemen’s capital Sana’a.
Thousands of participants expressed their support for the Palestinian people while protesting the ongoing military attacks by the US and Israel against Iran. Despite the rain, protesters carried flags and chanted slogans.
The Houthi leadership also stated that their affiliated forces are ready to respond militarily if the situation escalates further. It was noted that this situation could affect international maritime transportation in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden and could lead to the closure of the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
