According to CCTV, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said at a press conference in Tehran that they possess extensive documents and evidence linking the recent unrest to the United States and Israel.

Araghchi noted that the protests, which began peacefully on December 28, 2025, were driven into violence and chaos from January 8 onward with the involvement of armed groups.

Referring to a social media post by former CIA Director Mike Pompeo, Araghchi said: “This clearly shows that Mossad agents are trying to direct such terrorist acts.”

Stressing that Iran is not seeking war but is fully prepared for any possible conflict, Araghchi stated: “Iran is ready for serious and pragmatic negotiations with the United States; however, talks must be based on justice, equality and mutual respect, rather than Washington’s unilateral pressures.”
