New York, May 1 (Hibya) – UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk reported that at least 542 civilians were killed in just three weeks in Sudan’s North Darfur state.
UN High Commissioner Türk stated that at least 542 civilians were killed in North Darfur in just three weeks, and added that there are disturbing reports of extrajudicial executions in Khartoum state.
Emphasizing that "horror knows no bounds," Türk said it is long past time for this conflict to end.
