In his statement, Baghaei expressed deep concern over the catastrophic humanitarian situation and called for the end of the siege, cessation of hostilities, and protection of civilians within the framework of international humanitarian law. He also reaffirmed the Islamic Republic of Iran's principled support for Sudan's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.
