Berendsen: The Netherlands stands firmly behind the International Criminal Court
Amsterdam, September 1 (Hibya) - Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen held talks at the European Union (EU) level on maintaining support for the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen met with EU Commissioner Maria Luis Albuquerque and emphasized the determination of the Netherlands and the European Union to maintain their full support for the International Criminal Court.
Referring to the Netherlands’ position toward the Court, Berendsen said, "Together with our partners, the Netherlands stands firmly behind the International Criminal Court."
Commenting on the content of the meeting, Berendsen said, "We discussed with EU Commissioner Maria Luis Albuquerque how the EU and the Netherlands will continue their full support for the Court."
