Budrys: US military presence in Europe is a transatlantic strategic interest
Vilnius, May 11 (Hibya) - Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys emphasized the strategic importance of the US military presence in Europe and stated that Lithuania is ready to host more American troops.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys drew attention to the critical role of allied forces in NATO’s deterrence capacity and expressed the support his country provides in this context.
Commenting on military cooperation with the US, Budrys said: “The US military presence in Europe is a common transatlantic strategic interest. Lithuania values American troops on our territory and is ready to host more.”
Referring to Lithuania’s position, Budrys said: “We provide the highest level of host nation support and state-of-the-art training conditions.”
Speaking about trust within the alliance and defense strategy, Budrys stated: “Allied forces on the front line are the best deterrence for all of NATO. We trust our allies.”
