Emphasizing Switzerland’s core values, Ignazio Cassis stated, “In this context, Switzerland must remain faithful to the values that constitute its strength. Our prosperity directly depends on this; because one out of every two francs is linked to exports, and the main destination of these exports is Europe.”

Cassis underlined the importance of bilateral agreements, saying, “This is precisely the meaning of the bilateral approach and ‘Bilateral Agreements III’.”

Speaking about the concept of sovereignty, Cassis said, “Today, sovereignty is defined not by isolation, but by our capacity to manage interdependencies wisely.”
