Critical meeting between Qatar and the US in Washington
Washington, May 5 (Hibya) - Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi met with U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker in Washington to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.
During the meeting held in Washington, D.C., steps to strengthen the strategic partnership between Qatar and the United States and to further advance existing cooperation were evaluated.
The parties also discussed current developments in the region. In particular, a possible ceasefire process between the United States and Iran, diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions, and initiatives aimed at ensuring regional security and stability were among the main topics of the meeting.
The meeting is considered an important part of international diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions in the Middle East.
