Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez met with Communist Party of Turkey Secretary General Kemal Okuyan.

Diaz-Canel said in a statement that he held a “fraternal” meeting with Okuyan and the delegation accompanying him. The delegation was reported to be in Cuba to attend the 24th International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties and events organized as part of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Fidel Castro, leader of the Cuban Revolution.

Diaz-Canel said that during the meeting he thanked the Communist Party of Turkey delegation for its “continued support and solidarity.”
