Fidan and Dar discuss regional developments and defense cooperation
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation. The talks covered enhancing cooperation under the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement and regional developments.
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar discussed relations between the two countries and regional developments.
According to a statement by Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dar thanked Fidan for hosting the first meeting of the Strategic Political and Defense Committee in Istanbul under the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement.
During the conversation, the two sides followed up on the understandings reached at the meeting and discussed ways to further enhance cooperation within the framework of the Makkah Defense Alliance.
Fidan and Dar also reviewed regional and international developments as well as issues of mutual interest. The two ministers discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation on multilateral platforms and agreed to remain in close contact.
