UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher expressed his gratitude to Finland for its support in reinforcing humanitarian systems.

Following his meeting with Finnish Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Ville Tavio, Fletcher stated that they had a productive exchange of ideas on how the private sector can be more effectively involved in humanitarian processes. He also expressed his appreciation for the hospitality extended to him in the Finnish Parliament.

“Finland is a stable partner standing by us in building a more effective humanitarian aid system,” Fletcher said.
