Ghebreyesus: Health needs in Gaza are alarming
Geneva, May 24 (Hibya) – WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus held a meeting with Palestinian Health Minister Majed Abu Ramadan regarding the health crisis in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The meeting highlighted that critical health needs in Gaza have reached alarming levels.
Dr. Tedros stated that WHO teams continue to operate on the ground and support local health workers providing life-saving services.
The meeting also addressed WHO's ongoing reform process and sustainable financing issues. It took place as part of the 78th World Health Assembly held in Geneva.
