Tajani: Attempt to burn Torah scrolls is repugnant
Rome, June 8 (Hibya) – Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani stated that the attempt to burn Torah scrolls is repugnant.
Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said that the burning of holy books, spray-painting of cross symbols, and the attempted burning of Torah scrolls in the synagogue of Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef in Jerusalem is repugnant.
Tajani added: “I call for swift and decisive action to investigate this serious hate crime and to bring the perpetrators to justice.”
