Zelensky stated that important decisions regarding security guarantees were taken at the “Coalition of the Willing” meeting held in Paris at the beginning of the year, noting that this declaration was conveyed to the parliaments of European countries and that they hope Germany will also support this process after the war.

Zelensky emphasized the importance of the financial support provided by Germany to the Ukrainian army, stating that parliamentary approval is required for the purchase of missiles for the Patriot systems.

In the field of energy, Zelensky said that a plan has been prepared to protect Ukraine’s energy system against Russian attacks. He added that they rely on Germany’s support for steps such as gas and electricity supply, the construction of connection lines and increasing the capacity for energy imports from Europe.

Zelensky stressed that the role of the EU and Germany is also critical in Ukraine’s recovery process, Europe’s security infrastructure and negotiations for European Union membership, and said they expect parliaments to support these issues.
