Guterres commemorates Kofi Annan on 8th anniversary of his death
Brussels, August 18 (Hibya) - United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres commemorated former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan on the eighth anniversary of his death.
Guterres said of Annan, “Kofi Annan was my mentor and my friend. Tuesday marked eight years since his passing.”
Highlighting Annan's legacy, Guterres said, “He was a guiding force for good, and his legacy as an advocate for global peace continues to inspire me in my life and work.”
