Herzog: In this difficult time, we all stand with Beit Shemesh
Jerusalem, March 1 (Hibya) - Israeli President Isaac Herzog spoke with Beit Shemesh Mayor Shmuel Greenberg following the disaster in the city and conveyed a message of support.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog issued a statement regarding the events in Beit Shemesh.
Herzog said that the images deeply shook him and stated that he held a phone call with Mayor Shmuel Greenberg.
Herzog said, “The sight of the terrible disaster in Beit Shemesh broke my heart. I called Beit Shemesh Mayor Shmuel Greenberg and received information from him about the rescue efforts and the heartbreaking scenes.”
Speaking about the call, Herzog added, “In our conversation, I aimed to strengthen the city’s residents, comfort the grieving families, and wish a speedy recovery to the injured.”
Emphasizing that the entire nation’s prayers are with the missing, Herzog said, “In this difficult time, we all stand with Beit Shemesh. We stand with the emergency and rescue forces in their sacred work.”
