Araghchi: Those who wanted to sabotage diplomacy achieved their goals
Tehran, March 1 (Hibya) - Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi claimed that an agreement was very close in the Geneva nuclear talks, but the diplomatic process was sabotaged by an intervention order from U.S. President Trump.
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi made a statement regarding the negotiation process held in Geneva and the subsequent military developments.
Stating that the talks had reached an important stage, Araghchi held the Washington administration responsible for the interruption of the process.
Araghchi said, “An agreement was near. We left Geneva with the understanding that we would finalize the agreement at our next meeting. Those who wanted to sabotage diplomacy achieved their goals. However, the order to bomb the negotiating table was again given by Mr. Trump.”
