Trump: 48 Iranian leaders eliminated in a single operation
Washington, March 1 (Hibya) - U.S. President Donald Trump, speaking to various media outlets about the course and political consequences of the ongoing military operation against Iran, announced that 48 Iranian leaders had been neutralized and that he had agreed to speak with the new leadership.
According to the BBC, President Donald Trump shared updated information about the Iran operation in interviews with different media outlets over the past few hours.
Speaking to Fox News, Trump stated that the operation was “moving quickly,” adding, “48 Iranian leaders were eliminated in a single operation.”
In remarks to CNBC, Trump emphasized that the operation was progressing ahead of schedule, saying, “We are carrying out our mission not only for ourselves but for the world.”
Addressing the humanitarian and social impact of the operation in an interview with MS NOW, Trump described the enthusiastic celebrations of the Iranian diaspora, especially in Los Angeles, following the killing of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as “great.”
Speaking to The Atlantic about the diplomatic process, Trump said that current Iranian leaders want to return to negotiations: “They want to talk and I agreed to talk, so I will talk to them. They should have done this earlier. They should have chosen the very practical and easy option before. They waited too long.”
