Israeli President Isaac Herzog said that despite the current security crises, efforts related to food security, energy, and national resilience must not be disrupted. He emphasized the importance of multi-stakeholder cooperation among government, the scientific community, civil society, and the business sector.

Referring to the urgency of the climate crisis and strategic priorities, Herzog stated: "Even during a period of security challenges, we must continue our work on climate issues, food security, energy, and national resilience, recognizing that these are the challenges that will shape our future."

Highlighting Israel's technological and scientific potential in this field, Herzog said: "This morning, at the 54th Annual Science and Environment Conference, I emphasized that this challenge requires broad cooperation among government, the scientific community, local authorities, civil society, and the business sector. Israel possesses the knowledge, innovation, and talent to lead solutions that will benefit not only the State of Israel, but also the region and the entire world."

Calling for global and local investment for a sustainable future, Herzog concluded: "We must invest in science, innovation, and partnerships, and work together to protect the climate and ensure a safe, sustainable, and better future for generations to come."
