IDF: More than 140 strikes carried out against Iranian regime infrastructure
Tel Aviv, March 29 (Hibya) - The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that more than 140 airstrikes were carried out in the past 24 hours against military infrastructure in central and western Iran, including Tehran.
The IDF released a statement regarding large-scale air operations targeting military facilities on Iranian territory.
It was stated that the Air Force, acting under the directives of the Intelligence Directorate, targeted strategic locations.
Regarding the scope of the operation and the targets hit, the IDF stated:
"Over the past 24 hours, in parallel with three waves of attacks across Tehran, the Air Force, under the direction of the Intelligence Directorate, continued continuous strikes against the regime’s infrastructure in central and western Iran"
The IDF reported that, as part of dozens of sorties, more than 140 strikes were carried out against the regime’s infrastructure, including ballistic missile launch and storage sites as well as air defense systems.
The statement also emphasized that the aim of the operations is to weaken military capabilities: "The IDF continues its continuous operations to destroy the regime’s ballistic missile system and reduce the likelihood of fire against Israeli citizens."
