In a statement regarding the large-scale attacks carried out in Lebanon on April 8, 2026, the IDF announced that more than 250 Hezbollah militants and commanders were neutralized.

The statement noted that the operation was concentrated in Beirut, the Bekaa Valley, and southern Lebanon, adding that the strikes caused “direct and extensive” damage to the organization’s command-and-control structure.

The IDF stated that the operations were conducted following long-term intelligence tracking and that key figures in Hezbollah’s firepower, intelligence, and defense capabilities were targeted.

The statement also listed some of the senior figures reportedly neutralized, including Hassan Mustafa Naser, responsible for the logistics support unit, as well as Ali Qasim, Abu Ali Abbas, and Ali Hijazi from the intelligence structure, and Abu Mohammed Habib from the missile unit.

The IDF emphasized that the attacks dealt a heavy blow to Hezbollah’s ability to reorganize and transfer weapons, stating that operations will continue to eliminate threats against Israel.
