In Bulgaria, citizens are heading to the polls again
Sofia, April 19 (Hibya) – Bulgaria is preparing to hold elections for the eighth time since 2021 due to the inability to form a government.
According to information published by China Central Television (CCTV), due to political instability, citizens in Bulgaria are heading to the polls today for parliamentary elections.
As a result of the failure to form a government since 2021, the country will hold parliamentary elections for the eighth time within five years.
It is stated that voters' trust in the state has declined due to corruption allegations and lack of confidence in the judiciary, while turnout in the last election held in 2024 remained at around 39 percent.
Frequent elections have caused voter fatigue, but some citizens still expect higher participation and different results in this election.
