Israel: Facts Are Being Distorted
Jerusalem, February 8 (Hibya) – Responding to the Palestinian Authority’s criticism of an Israeli Cabinet decision, Israel said the decision corrects discriminatory practices in Jordanian laws.
In a statement responding to the Palestinian Authority’s criticism of the Israeli Cabinet’s decision, Israel said, “The Palestinian Authority continues to impose the death penalty for selling property to Jews.”
The statement also claimed that Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is concealing the fact that the Cabinet decision corrects discriminatory practices based on Jordanian laws. According to Israel, those laws restricted Jews, Americans, Europeans, and non-Arabs from purchasing property in Judea and Samaria.
Israel emphasized that the decision merely corrects discriminatory practices in existing law and that the Palestinian side’s claims do not reflect reality.
