Israel updates home front defense policy
Jerusalem, March 14 (Hibya) - Israel’s Home Front Command announced that defense guidelines will be partially eased in some areas starting Monday.
Israel’s Home Front Command announced a change in defense policy. Accordingly, a new defense policy will come into effect across the country starting at 06:00 on Monday, March 16, 2026, classifying regions according to different risk levels.
Under the new regulation, the activity level in the Beit She’an Valley, Bekaa Valley, Samaria, Judea, the Dead Sea, the Lachish region, the Gaza envelope, the Western Negev, the Southern Negev and the Arava regions will be raised from “limited activity” to “partial activity”.
In these areas, educational activities will be allowed in places where access to a protected area is possible. Events with up to 50 people in open areas and up to 100 people in enclosed spaces will be permitted.
