Kallas: Everyone unjustly detained in Belarus must be released
Brussels, March 19 (Hibya) - European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas described the release of 250 political prisoners in Belarus as a welcome and concrete step forward.

Thanking the United States for mediating the agreement, Kallas stated:
"For many families, this is a long-awaited moment of relief and a chance to reunite with their loved ones. We cannot ignore the fact that these individuals should not have been imprisoned in the first place. Everyone unjustly detained in Belarus must be released, and repression must end."
