Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

European Commission Vice President Kaja Kallas made a statement regarding the new sanctions decisions taken at the EU Foreign Ministers meeting.

Kallas stated that during the meeting, a “green light” was given for sanctions against certain Israeli settlers due to acts of violence against Palestinians. She also noted that new sanctions targeting senior Hamas figures were approved.

Emphasizing that the decision reflects the approach that violence and extremism on the ground should not go without consequences, Kallas said, “It was time to move from deadlock to action. Extremism and violence have consequences.”

It was stated that with this step, the EU aims to increase pressure both on settler violence and on senior actors within Hamas.
