Kos: Russia hopes to find fatigue and division among the public
Brussels, March 16 (Hibya) — European Union Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos stated that the EU is increasing its support for Ukraine in response to Russia’s attempts to create fatigue and division in Europe.
European Union Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos made remarks at the Foreign Affairs Council meeting regarding strategic support for Ukraine and its EU membership process.
Emphasizing that Russia’s strategy must be thwarted, Kos said: “At a time when the war in the Middle East is intensifying, Russia hopes to find fatigue and division among the public. At today’s Foreign Affairs Council meeting, I stressed that we must prove the exact opposite.”
Providing information about protecting Ukraine’s infrastructure and reform efforts, Commissioner Kos said: “Together with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and our G7 partners, we are making progress in strengthening Ukraine’s energy system against Russia’s attacks.”
Kos added, “Tomorrow we will take another step on Ukraine’s EU reform path by launching technical negotiations on all remaining clusters.”
