Larijani: Iran was subjected to an American-Zionist attack
Tehran, March 16 (Hibya) - Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani called on the Muslim world to unite and clarify its stance, criticizing the silence of Islamic countries in the face of what he described as “American-Zionist” attacks against Iran.
Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, issued a statement addressed to the Islamic world regarding the attacks Iran faced and the rising military tension in the region.
Stating that Iran had been subjected to what he described as a treacherous attack, Larijani said, “Iran was subjected to an American-Zionist attack during negotiations aimed at dismantling the country. This attack led to the martyrdom of some of our leaders as well as civilian and military commanders. However, the aggressors encountered strong resistance.”
Criticizing the silence of Islamic countries and referring to a hadith of the Prophet Muhammad, Larijani said, “Whoever hears the call of a Muslim seeking help and does not respond is not a Muslim. What kind of Islam is this? Do some countries expect us to remain silent while American bases on their soil are used to attack Iran? Today’s conflict is between America and Israel on one side and Muslim Iran on the other. Which side are you on?”
Emphasizing that the United States is unreliable and Israel is an enemy, Larijani concluded his remarks:
“The unity of the Islamic Ummah can guarantee security, progress, and independence for all countries. Iran offers you sincere advice and does not seek to dominate you. Think about the future of the region.”
