According to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yermek Kosherbayev met with United Nations Assistant Secretary-General and Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Diene Keita.

During the meeting, Foreign Minister Kosherbayev stated that President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev attaches special importance to comprehensive cooperation with the United Nations.

At the same time, Kosherbayev requested the active use of the platform of the UN Regional Centre for Sustainable Development Goals for Central Asia and Afghanistan in Almaty in order to expand UNFPA’s presence in the region.
