Lahbib: A political solution is the only way in Lebanon
Beirut, May 8 (Hibya) - European Union Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib called for a political solution during her meeting with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, drawing attention to the severe humanitarian crisis in the country.
European Union Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Lahbib held important meetings as part of her visit to Lebanon.
In a statement following her meeting with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, Lahbib stressed that a political solution was the only way out. Pointing out that the humanitarian situation in Lebanon had reached a critical level, Lahbib said that more than 3 million people were in need of assistance.
Lahbib stated that the European Union stands by the Lebanese people and will continue to provide support as a reliable partner.
