Lahbib: Attacking civilian infrastructure is against international humanitarian law
Brussels, March 23 (Hibya) - European Union (EU) Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib stated that attacks on critical infrastructure across the Middle East are contrary to international humanitarian law.
EU Commissioner Lahbib condemned attacks on critical infrastructure across the Middle East, including bridges in Lebanon.
Emphasizing that attacking civilian infrastructure is against international humanitarian law, Lahbib said, "Escalation only deepens suffering."
Lahbib called for diplomatic negotiations, stating, "We need a political solution."
