Lahbib: Syria must not be dragged into a new civil war
Brussels, March 10 (Hibya) - European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness, and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, stated that Syria must not be dragged into a new civil war, highlighting that reports of hundreds of casualties in northwestern Syria are deeply concerning.
The EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness, and Crisis Management, Lahbib, expressed deep concern over reports of hundreds of casualties in northwestern Syria.
She noted that the EU is calling for an immediate end to the violence and a full investigation, stressing that the establishment of an independent committee is an important step.
Lahbib emphasized that after 14 years of conflict, the Syrian people deserve a peaceful and inclusive transition, adding: "Syria must not be dragged into a new civil war."
