Lahbib: The ceasefire must be respected and humanitarian access ensured
Brussels, January 14 (Hibya) — EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib said, in a statement on Gaza, that the ceasefire must be respected and humanitarian access ensured.
EU Commissioner Hadja Lahbib stated that limited access to humanitarian aid in Gaza has made winter conditions deadly.
Noting that four civilians lost their lives due to the collapse of tents and that freezing cold caused the death of a one-year-old child, Lahbib stressed the need to respect the ceasefire and ensure humanitarian access.
Lahbib said that Israel should allow the United Nations and its partners to implement the winter plan.
