Palestine welcomes efforts related to the peace plan
Ramallah, January 14 (Hibya) — The Palestinian Presidency announced that it welcomes the efforts of US President Donald Trump to complete the implementation of the peace plan and to put UN Security Council Resolution 2803 into effect.
The Palestinian Presidency stated that it welcomes the efforts of US President Trump aimed at completing the implementation of the peace plan and enforcing UN Security Council Resolution 2803.
Initiatives to establish a Peace Council and its affiliated executive bodies were also supported.
In this context, the presidency announced its support for the formation of a Palestinian Committee to administer Gaza during the transitional period.
The statement noted that the Palestinian Presidency is in close coordination with Special Peace Envoy Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, US teams, and Nickolay Mladenov in order to support US efforts to move to the second phase of implementation, which includes consolidating the ceasefire and reconstruction.
