Dutch Foreign Minister Weel said it is clear that stability in the Eastern Mediterranean cannot be guaranteed.

Stating that he discussed regional security, continued support for Ukraine, migration, and Europe’s energy resilience with Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis in Athens, Weel also noted that they addressed the situation in Iran.

Pointing out that more than one million Dutch tourists visit Greece each year, Weel said:

“Students, companies, and seafarers travel between our countries every day. These ties form the backbone of our long-standing partnership and explain why cooperation is so important in uncertain times.”
