Moscow, April 7 (Hibya) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a phone call to discuss the military and political tensions in the Gulf region.

The ministers conducted an in-depth assessment of the unprecedented military-political tensions in the Gulf region. During the call, they emphasized the loss of life and serious damage to civilian infrastructure caused by the conflicts and called for an immediate ceasefire.
Lavrov and Al Nahyan reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close foreign policy coordination between Moscow and Abu Dhabi, highlighting the importance of resolving the Middle East crisis peacefully on the basis of international law while taking into account the legitimate interests of regional states.
The discussion also covered ways to further develop the Russia-UAE strategic partnership and reviewed the implementation of previous high-level agreements.
