Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the intervention by Israeli forces against the “Global Sumud Fleet” heading towards Gaza in international waters and the seizure of the ships.

The statement noted that detaining ships carrying humanitarian aid and more than 175 civilian activists from various countries is a clear violation of international law, contrary to both maritime law conventions and international humanitarian law.

The ministry stated that the intervention targeted a peaceful and humanitarian civilian initiative and that Israel is responsible for the safety of the activists.

It was also argued that the continuation of the blockade on Gaza worsens the humanitarian situation in the region and hinders international efforts.

The Palestinian side called on the United Nations and the international community to adopt a common position and impose sanctions on Israel, as well as to immediately release the detained activists.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also thanked the international participants in the fleet, noting that their actions carry an important message of solidarity.
