European stock markets generally saw a limited and sideways trend during the day.

The STOXX 600 index, which reflects Europe as a whole, stood at 616.95 points, while Germany’s DAX index was traded at 24,154.47 points. In France, the CAC 40 index displayed a flat performance at 8,262.70 points.

In the United Kingdom, the FTSE 100 index rose 0.13 percent to 10,589.99 points, while in Italy, the FTSE MIB index fell 0.27 percent to 48,026.94 points.

In the overall picture, no clear direction emerged in European markets, with a pattern of limited gains and losses across the indices drawing attention.
