Lula da Silva: We renewed the licenses of more than 323,000 drivers
Brazil, January 19 (Hibya) – Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said that under the launched driver’s license program, the licenses of more than 323,000 good drivers were renewed free of charge and millions of people were able to take part in the licensing process without financial burden.
Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva shared the figures reached and the social benefits provided by the new driver’s license program implemented in the country.
Explaining the advantages of the program for drivers, Lula da Silva said: “Since we launched Brazil’s driver’s license program, we have automatically and free of charge renewed the licenses of more than 323,000 good drivers who committed no traffic violations.”
He added: “In addition, 2.5 million people have already submitted their first license application. About 1 million people completed the theoretical part and obtained driving course certificates without paying any fees.”
Emphasizing that they prevented high costs and created equal opportunities, Lula da Silva stated: “In this way, we made life easier for those who could not obtain a license due to the high costs of driving courses. What we want is more road safety, greater convenience and more job opportunities for Brazilians.”
