Macron: France stands in solidarity with Spain over migration pressure in Ceuta
Paris, July 31 (Hibya) – French President Emmanuel Macron said he spoke with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez regarding the irregular migration pressure in Ceuta and stated that France is ready to provide any necessary assistance, including support through Frontex.

Macron said, “I expressed our solidarity with Spain regarding the migration situation in Ceuta and offered every form of necessary support, including through Frontex.”
Noting that more than 40,000 people have so far been returned from Ceuta to Morocco thanks to cooperation with Morocco, Macron said he had instructed the Interior Minister to strengthen controls at the Spanish border if necessary.
Macron added that four mobile security units, aircraft and drones had been deployed for this purpose, stating: “I once again express our solidarity with Spain, its government and its people.”
