Anand: We discussed regional security with Iraqi Foreign Minister Hussein
Ottawa, July 31 (Hibya) – Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand announced that during her meeting with Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, they discussed Iran’s attacks on Iraq, regional security, and diplomatic solutions.

In her statement, Anand said, “Today I met with my counterpart, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein.”
Anand stated that they expressed their concerns regarding Iran’s attacks on Iraq, adding, “We reaffirmed Canada’s solidarity with the people of Iraq and discussed the security challenges facing the region.”
Anand noted that both sides agreed on the importance of diplomacy in reducing tensions and resolving the current situation, saying, “I look forward to continuing our dialogue and strengthening relations between Canada and Iraq.”
