Metsola: Charlie Hebdo attack could not silence freedom of speech
Brussels, January 7 (Hibya) – European Parliament President Roberta Metsola commemorated the Charlie Hebdo attack from 11 years ago and reaffirmed her commitment to freedom of speech.
European Parliament President Metsola said, “Eleven years ago, the attack on Charlie Hebdo aimed to silence freedom of speech through terrorism.”
She added, “This attempt failed. Today, we honor the memory of the victims and reaffirm our unwavering commitment to freedom of speech.”
