Tsahkna met with his Australian counterpart Wong
Canberra, March 12 (Hibya) - Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna met with Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong and emphasized the link between the security of Europe and the Indo-Pacific regions.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna held a meeting with Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong as part of his official contacts in Canberra, the capital of Australia.
Drawing attention to the common stance of the two countries on global security issues, Tsahkna said, “My meeting today in Canberra with Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong focused on strengthening the interconnected security of Europe and the Indo-Pacific.”
Tsahkna stated, “From combating cyber threats and disinformation to supporting Ukraine, holding the aggressor accountable, and securing supply chains for critical minerals, there is much for Estonia and Australia to work on together.”
Minister Tsahkna emphasized the depth of diplomatic ties with Australia, saying, “I am very pleased to have such a strong friend and like-minded partner in Australia.”
