Mixed trend in European stock markets
Istanbul, May 20 (Hibya) - A mixed trend was observed in European markets during the trading day of the week. The rise in the unemployment rate in the UK and Germany’s launch of the Uniper privatization process were in focus for the markets.
A flat and mixed trend was observed in European markets during the trading day of the week. Many of the major indices ended the day unchanged.
In the UK, the FTSE 100 index gained 0.07 percent, rising to 10,330.55 points. In Italy, the FTSE MIB index fell 0.65 percent to 48,354.89 points.
The STOXX 600 index, which covers Europe overall, showed no change (UNCH) and remained stable at 611.34 points.
In Germany, the DAX index ended the day at 24,400.65 points, while in France, the CAC 40 index closed flat (UNCH) at 7,981.76 points.
