NATO launches new military activity called "Arctic Sentry"
Brussels, February 11 (Hibya) - NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced the launch of the new military initiative "Arctic Sentry," which brings together the Alliance’s activities in the Arctic and High North regions.
Rutte said in his statement, “Today we launched a new military activity, Arctic Sentry, which brings together NATO and allied activities across the Arctic and High North regions.”
Highlighting the importance of Arctic security for NATO, Rutte stated, “We are determined to secure both Arctic security and the security of the entire Alliance together.”
The new initiative aims to strengthen coordination between NATO and allied countries and enhance security cooperation in the region.
