Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a statement regarding the soldiers who lost their lives in clashes with Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.

Netanyahu, together with his wife Sara Netanyahu, expressed condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers and to the Druze community.

Prime Minister Netanyahu said in his statement:

"My wife and I, together with all the citizens of Israel, share our deep sorrow and extend our condolences to the families of the two combat engineering soldiers who fell in battle in southern Lebanon — Brigadier General Maher Khattar and another soldier whose name has not yet been released."

Referring to the exemplary character of Brigadier General Khattar from the Majdal Shams community, Netanyahu said: "The late Maher, a brave fighter from the Druze community, served as a model and inspiration for young men from the Majdal Shams community who have increasingly joined the ranks of the Israel Defense Forces in recent years, reflecting the eternal alliance between us. The late Maher and the other fallen soldiers fought bravely to protect our communities and citizens from the Hezbollah terrorist organization."

Netanyahu concluded his statement by saying: "We bow our heads in the face of their fall and remain determined to defend our northern border against any threat. May their memories be blessed and live on forever."
