Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

The Government of Pakistan issued a message on the occasion of the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers.

The message emphasized that the courage, dedication, and sacrifices of personnel serving in United Nations Peacekeeping Forces are of critical importance to international peace. It also paid tribute to the 183 Pakistani peacekeepers who lost their lives in the line of duty.

The statement noted that Pakistan has been among the largest troop-contributing countries for more than 60 years, with over 270,000 personnel having served in 48 different UN missions. It also stressed the country's continued commitment to multilateralism and the United Nations Charter.

The statement further highlighted Pakistan’s peacekeeping training capacity, noting that personnel from various countries receive training through the International Centre for Peace and Stability.

The text underlined that peace operations are facing increasing security and funding challenges, pointing to the need for stronger international support and reforms.

Pakistan also highlighted the contributions of female peacekeepers and reiterated its commitment to increasing women's participation in peace operations.

Finally, the message stated that peacekeeping remains one of the most effective tools for global security and called on the international community to provide greater support.
