CENTCOM: 115 commercial vessels redirected under maritime blockade of Iran
Washington, May 29 (Hibya) - The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that 115 commercial vessels have been redirected as part of the maritime blockade against Iran in order to prevent entry to or departure from Iranian ports.
CENTCOM announced that the maritime blockade against Iran remains in effect and that commercial maritime traffic is being kept under strict control.
According to the statement, as of May 29, 115 commercial vessels had been redirected to prevent them from entering or leaving Iranian ports. The operation was described as part of a blockade aimed at completely halting commercial maritime flows to Iran.
