French President Emmanuel Macron spoke about recent developments in the maritime and industrial sectors.

Highlighting success in the maritime sector, Macron said: “First good news: Accor has launched the world’s largest sailing ship, the Orient Express Silenseas. A second ship is also planned to be launched in the summer of 2027. A technological achievement born at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard, a source of French pride.”

Referring to industrial decarbonization efforts, Macron stated: “Second announcement: Cargill has decided to invest 130 million euros to decarbonize its facility. The company will eliminate approximately 90 percent of its CO2 emissions.”

Emphasizing “Choose France,” Macron concluded: “Craftsmanship, excellence, industry, tourism, gastronomy: with Choose France, we showcase French creativity. This is good for our jobs, the vitality of our communities, and our climate goals. We are moving forward!”
