According to a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry, Russian President Vladimir Putin laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow to mark the 85th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War.
As part of the commemorative program, Putin also laid flowers at monuments honoring the Hero Cities.
